Commitment: Disaster deployments (minimum 3 weeks), with training and preparation throughout the year
We’re looking for a compassionate, organised, and people-focused volunteer to join the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) as a Staff Care Coordinator.
Disaster response is about more than delivering aid, it’s also about caring for the people serving on the front lines. As the Staff Care Coordinator, you’ll help ensure DART team members, volunteers, and visiting specialists are welcomed, supported, and cared for throughout their deployment. From coordinating arrivals and accommodation to fostering team wellbeing and morale, you’ll play a vital role in helping the team remain healthy, connected, and mission-focused.
If you’re passionate about caring for people, building strong teams, and creating supportive environments, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

● Organise accommodation, meals, transportation, translators, and other practical support
● Assist the Team Leader with base camp coordination and daily team operations
● Foster a healthy, supportive, and encouraging team culture throughout deployments
● Work alongside the Spiritual Guidance Coordinator to support the wellbeing of team members
● Monitor team morale and help address practical and wellbeing needs
● Coordinate with other team roles to ensure personnel are well-supported and integrated into field operations

● Highly organised and able to coordinate multiple people and priorities
● An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
● Calm, adaptable, and able to respond well in dynamic environments
● Passionate about serving people and building healthy team cultures
● Comfortable working across cultures with compassion, respect, and humility
● Motivated by purpose and committed to helping others thrive while serving
● Make a meaningful difference by caring for the people serving disaster-affected communities
● Use your organisational and people skills to strengthen humanitarian response teams
● Be part of a highly trained, purpose-driven Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART)
● Receive training, mentoring, and ongoing development opportunities
● Learn industry-standard humanitarian disaster response practices through real-world deployments
● Work within a global humanitarian network with offices in more than 11 countries, collaborating with experienced disaster response professionals
● Develop your leadership, team coordination, pastoral care, and cross-cultural communication skills
● Build lifelong friendships while serving alongside passionate volunteers who share a heart for humanitarian aid
● Experience the privilege of helping teams remain healthy, encouraged, and equipped to serve effectively
If you’re ready to use your gifts in hospitality, coordination, and team care to support those serving on the front lines of disaster response, we’d love to hear from you.
Join the DART team and help care for the people who are bringing hope to communities in crisis.
