Role Title: DART Construction Coordinator (Volunteer)
Location: Deployable (Domestic & International Disaster Response)
Commitment: Disaster deployments (minimum 3 weeks), with training and preparation throughout the year

We’re looking for a practical, organised, and servant-hearted volunteer to join the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) as a Construction Coordinator.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Recovery doesn’t end when the emergency is over. As a Construction Coordinator, you’ll help communities rebuild homes, schools, community facilities, and other essential infrastructure following disasters. Working alongside local tradespeople, volunteers, community leaders, and partner organisations, you’ll coordinate construction projects that provide safe, lasting outcomes for families recovering from crisis.

If you have experience in construction, engineering, project management, or a trade and enjoy leading teams while making a tangible difference, this is an opportunity to use your skills where they are needed most.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

● Coordinate construction, repair, and renovation projects from planning through to completion

● Organise and supervise workers, contractors, and volunteers on-site

● Manage the procurement of construction materials, tools, and equipment

● Monitor project quality, progress, and safety throughout each stage of construction

● Work closely with local authorities, suppliers, and community leaders

● Support the Team Leader with construction planning and operational coordination

● Help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with long-term sustainability in mind
