INDIA MEDICAL MISSION 2023

MEDICAL MISSIONS IN INDIA ARE BACK!

After a gap of 4 years, we’re finally back with our next Medical Mission in India.

 

Logistical delays and uncertainty stopped us from traveling to India during Covid however, the work there did not stop. This was carried on through our partner organisations and we’re excited that we can continue to support them in Revealing Hope and Restoring Life to the people of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana in India.

 

DATES: Aug 6th – Aug 19th 2023

 

Locations in India:

  • Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh
  • Mancherial, Telangana

The purpose of the trip:

To provide medical consultation, perform minor surgeries, distribute medicines, and provide counseling and humanitarian aid to the people of Kurnool and Mancherial. 

 

Kurnool has the highest percentage of people living in poverty in Andhra Pradesh, India. People are deprived and unable to afford/access basic Health, Education, and an acceptable Standard of Living.

 

Mancherial has a low literacy rate, minorities, and human rights issues. The male literacy rate is 72.32% and the female literacy rate is 58.58% in Mancherial according to the latest census.

 

Goal by June 30, 2023:

GAiN is dependent on donations to cover the cost of its humanitarian aid and medical missions. All donations over $2 are tax deductable.

 

The goal is to raise approximately $40,000 to cover travel accommodation, transportation, food, medicines, local volunteer costs, and support for our local partners. The team involved in the project will be around 40 persons which will include doctors, nurses, support staff, and mission workers. 

 

We aim to serve the needs of approximately 8,000 people in this 2-week long mission trip.

We are 100% donor funded and rely on the generous donations of our partners to carry out our work. It costs us approximately $5 to provide medical aid to a person in need of medical attention in this project.
