Role Title: Social Media Manager
Location: Remote (Australia wide)
Commitment: Part-Time (Approx. 5 hours per week)
At GAiN Australia, we believe that behind every humanitarian project, from clean water initiatives to life-changing disaster relief, is a story of resilience and hope. We are seeking a passionate and strategic Social Media Manager to bridge the gap between our field operations and the digital communities ready to join our mission. You understand that social media is more than just posting; it is about building a community of advocates, amplifying the voices of the vulnerable, and turning digital engagement into tangible, global impact.
As our Social Media Manager, you will be the digital architect of our mission’s presence. You will curate and create compelling content that connects followers to purpose, ensuring our core message of hope resonates across Instagram and Facebook. By fostering meaningful dialogue and executing integrated campaigns, you will play a critical role in mobilising supporters to advocate for those in need.
If you have a heart for justice, a passion for social media, and a desire to see passive followers become active partners in humanitarian work, this is your opportunity to serve.
● Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling impactful content that highlights our water and disaster response efforts.
● Source, repurpose, and share authentic stories from our field reports and media libraries to inspire our community.
● Actively monitor and respond to messages and comments, fostering a welcoming, professional, and inclusive online environment.
● Partner with our Communications Lead to align digital messaging with broader organisational campaigns and emerging social trends.
● A strategic thinker who brings clarity, structure, and initiative to digital campaigns and storytelling workflows.
● Led by a deep relationship with God, demonstrating compassion, humility, and a genuine heart for justice and the dignity of others.
● A skilled communicator, comfortable representing the organisation online, with an ability to coach and encourage our community to advocate for our mission.
● A collaborative leader who values unity and is excited to build relationships across diverse groups to amplify our collective reach.
● Your efforts directly contribute to funding and awareness for critical humanitarian projects.
● Gain hands-on experience in nonprofit communication, community management, and digital strategy.
● Make a significant difference through a remote, volunteer commitment of approximately 5 hours per week.
● Receive comprehensive onboarding on our brand voice and digital ethics, alongside ongoing strategic support from our team.
If you are ready to use your digital skills to advocate for global change and amplify the hope we bring to vulnerable populations, we would love to hear from you.
We are committed to building diverse teams and welcome applicants from all backgrounds who align with our mission and values.
