Role Title: DART First Aid Coordinator (Volunteer)
Location: Deployable (Domestic & International Disaster Response)
Commitment: Disaster deployments (minimum 3 weeks), with training and preparation throughout the year
We’re looking for a compassionate, calm, and capable volunteer to join the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) as a First Aid Coordinator.
Disaster response can be physically and emotionally demanding. As the First Aid Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and wellbeing of the DART team throughout deployments. From providing first aid and managing medical supplies to helping prepare for emergencies, your care and leadership will help ensure the team remains healthy, resilient, and ready to serve communities in crisis.

● Provide first aid and medical support to team members during deployments
● Maintain and manage medical kits, supplies, and emergency equipment
● Identify and liaise with local hospitals, clinics, and medical providers when required
● Support emergency preparedness and medical response planning
● Promote healthy practices, hygiene, and preventative care within the team
● Assist the Team Leader with medical advice, incident reporting, and wellbeing support
● Help foster a safe, healthy, and resilient team environment throughout the mission
● Compassionate, calm, and dependable under pressure
● Qualified or experienced in first aid, healthcare, or emergency response
● Organised and able to manage medical resources effectively
● A confident decision-maker during medical situations
● Passionate about caring for others and supporting team wellbeing
● A collaborative team player who communicates with empathy and professionalism
● Motivated by purpose and committed to serving communities in need
● Make a meaningful difference by supporting the health and wellbeing of disaster response teams
