Join us on our next Medical Mission trip to the Philippines!

Dates: 8 February – 21 February 2026

Location: Philippines

Driven by an unshakable belief in human dignity and worth, GAiN’s medical missions provide medical care and health education to those experiencing hardship.

Join this medical mission volunteer team and be part of meeting the physical and practical needs of those we serve in the Philippines.

No, you don’t need any experience in a medical background to join us on a medical mission. All you need is a willingness to serve humbly and have an open heart to see the work of GAiN among the people of the Philippines.

We are looking for team members who are willing to serve in any capacity. Medical positions include nurses, doctors, pharmacists, optometrists, dentists, etc.

We are also looking for people who can fill the following roles: translators, volunteers for children’s ministry, crowd control, counsellors and general administration.

This medical mission trip will cost GAiN $4,000 per volunteer to cover air fares, travel insurance, International SOS registration, accommodation, transportation, food, medicines, local volunteer costs and support for local partners.

You may wish to ask your church and other contacts to partner with GAiN and make a donation to the trip, or make a donation to the trip themselves, so that the costs involved can be covered.

The GAiN team from Australia will join a team from Philippines to minister to the people who attend the medical mission sites. GAiN is dependent on donations to cover the cost of its humanitarian aid and medical missions.

For the mission to be viable financially, GAiN needs to have a mission team from Australia of around 12 members, so at least $48,000 must be raised from donations to cover the cost of the trip.

All donations to the medical mission are tax-deductible and non-refundable.

How You Can Get Involved

🩺

Medical Professionals

As a medical professional, you'll be at the heart of our mission, providing direct patient care. This includes doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, and other healthcare specialists who diagnose, treat, and offer vital health education to those in need.

🌱

Health Educators

You'll empower individuals with knowledge by delivering crucial health education sessions. This might include topics like hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and post-treatment care, helping to build long-term health literacy in the community.

🧸

Children's Ministry

If you love kids, you'll create a welcoming and fun space for children during the mission. You'll organise activities and games, keeping them entertained and comfortable while their parents receive medical attention. Your presence helps ease anxiety for our youngest patients.

🫂

Counsellors

As a counsellor, you'll offer a compassionate ear and a supportive presence. You'll provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, helping them navigate challenges like illness, trauma, or grief.

🚏

Crowd Control

In this role, you'll be the orchestrator of efficiency, managing the flow of people at the mission site. You'll guide patients, maintain orderly queues, and prevent overcrowding, ensuring a smooth and safe environment for everyone.

🗣️

Translators

As a translator, you'll be the vital bridge between medical professionals and local patients. You'll ensure clear communication of symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment plans, making sure everyone understands and receives the best care possible.

📋

General Administration

You'll be the backbone of the mission's operations, handling all the essential organisational tasks. From patient registration and record-keeping to managing supplies and scheduling, you'll ensure everything runs seamlessly.

📸

Media & Documentation

This role is for those who love to capture moments and tell stories through photos and videos. You'll be vital in documenting the medical mission's journey and impact, which is incredibly important for our partners to see the work in action and understand its reach.
