Disaster Response

Provision of emergency food, water, shelter and clothing.

Looking after those in need

Turn on any television channel. Read any newspaper. It seems like every day we awake to a new crisis somewhere in the world. We are ready to mobilize resources when disaster strikes. Our network of offices around the world enables us to leverage each other’s distribution networks and respond quickly with needed emergency humanitarian aid. Partnering with like-minded NGOs in-country, which show integrity and accountability, synergizes an even greater impact in delivering this aid to the areas with the most critical needs.

GAiN Australia – Disaster Response

So far, GAiN Australia has been partially or fully involved in the efforts of the GAiN Worldwide Disaster Relief Mission to bring aid and relief to areas devastated by natural disasters including the 2004 Indonesia and Sri Lanka Tsunami, the 2005 Pakistan Earthquake, the 2007 Solomon Islands Tsunami, the 2008 Myanmar Cyclone Nargis, the 2009 Philippines Super Typhoons Onday and Pepang, the 2010 Haiti Earthquake and more recently, the 2011 Thailand and Cambodia Flood Relief Projects. Whenever we receive an appeal for help, GAiN will prayerfully consider and organise appropriate Disaster Relief Projects in the countries faced with natural disasters.
