GAiN’s Disaster Assistance and Response Team (DART)

GAiN’s Disaster Assistance and Response Team
More and more disasters are occurring worldwide. Every day we are confronted with devastating news on television which often lead to a feeling of helplessness.

In order to enhance the efforts of GAiN to meet the needs of people affected by those types of emergencies, the concept of a Disaster Assistance and Response Team (DART) has been developed. It is supposed to complement the regular work of GAiN by providing quick and flexible professional help in disaster areas with trained volunteers.

In such of situations it is very important to have individuals who are trained to handle the specific problems present and to know exactly how to react in case of a disaster. Depending on the scale of the catastrophe, GAiN will put together case by case an international team of staff and volunteers with various skills. All kind of people are needed – YOU are needed!
